The location was comfortable for us - close to restaurants and bars. They offered us fully-equipped and air conditioned rooms with the sofa bed, verandah and the bedroom. We were greeted by incredibly helpful, very friendly staff.

Had neat and compact room with the 7th level in a 30+ degree apartment and compact bedrooms and a sofa, and protected with smoke detectors. Excellent central location close enough to restaurants areas as well as a tram stop, the centre of town and the pubs and restaurants around honeysuckle.

Its fantastic, central location was a plus. Bars and cafés were also close to the hotel.

The room was well kept and clean and available with 2 beds. A microwave, an electric kettle, and a refrigerator where a nice touch. The location was incredible as it was close to bars and cafés.

Also, the location is convenient, minutes from a kid-friendly museum. The area is very beautiful, with restaurants and bars close to the hotel.

It has good facilities and convenient and ideal location between the clubs.

The hotel was clean, the rooms were brand-new and well-equipped with magnificent views. Location: the venue was just off restaurants, pub, water, bars and restaurants and light rail, and central Newcastle. Appreciated the main bar.

The location was incredible and stunning, just a pleasant stroll away from an attractive museum. The room was brand-new and air-conditioned with a dryer, free toiletries and bath sheets in the open bathroom.

Bathroom. Shower/Bath. Extremely dangerous to get into shower. Nearly had a flood first time we used it. Water all over the floor. Only way we could have a shower was to limit it 1/2 mins without bathroom being flooded. Sign in room says problem will be rectified! Designer of room/bathroom is at fault. Wall plugs practically non existent. Difficult to get into one side of the bed. Only way to operate heater/air conditioner is with the door to corridor open as area is too dark to read controls. Hairdryer plug too far from mirror. Plus there is no staff on call to report problems to. Chifley staff do not have the responsibility for this block of units. There is a mobile no. to contact in light of problems. We did not to do this.There is no hotel phone in the room.

The location is incredible and handy, just a short walk away from a friendly museum. The hotel has very helpful staff. The rooms are air conditioned and great-sized, and are complete with dining table as well as beautiful decor.

It's in a good location, making it fairly easy to get around and explore the city. The rooms offer a lovely view of the lighthouse, and the facilities inside the apartment are great. The staff provide good service and the basic amenities are satisfactory.

One aspect that could be improved is the cleanliness of the rooms. In one particular instance, the TV was not connected and the carpet in the bedroom was not cleaned very well.
